Suomen rannikon ja järvien päivittäinen tarkan resoluution pintalämpötila-aineisto (Landsat-8 TIRS, 100 m) / Daily high resolution water surface temperature of Finnish coast and lakes (Landsat-8 TIRS, 100 m)

[FI] Aineisto sisältää vesialueiden pintalämpötilatulkinnan perustuen Landsat-8 satelliitin TIRS-instrumentin keskipäivän havaintoihin maastoerotuskyvyllä 100 m. Lämpötilatulkinta on laskettu Suomen olosuhteisiin kalibroidulla split-window menetelmällä. Maa- ja pilvialueet on tunnistettu ja poistettu automaattisella vesialueiden tunnistusmenetelmällä, jonka jälkeen tulkinta on tarkastettu manuaalisesti.

Aineiston lämpötilat kuvaavat vesialueiden pintakalvon lämpötilaa Landsat-8 -satelliitin ylilennon aikaan havaintopäivinä (noin kello klo 11-12 Suomen aikaa eli klo 9-10 UTC0-aikaa).

Aineisto tuotetaan kaksivaiheisesti. Kunkin ylilennon jälkeen ensimmäinen julkaisu on NRT-versio (near real time), joka sisältää ylilentoradan suuntaista raitaisuutta ja kohinaa. NRT-versio päivitetään laatuvarmennettuun ja korjattuun viimeistään 14 vuorokauden kuluttua ylilennosta.

Aineisto kuuluu SYKEn avoimiin aineistoihin (CC BY 4.0).

Käyttötarkoitus: Itämeren ja Suomen järvien pintalämpötilan seuranta.

[EN] The dataset contains water surface temperatures for water bodies retrieved from the TIRS-instrument onboard the Landsat-8 satellite platform in 100 m spatial resolution. The temperature is computed using a split-window method calibrated for Finnish water bodies. Land areas and clouds are identified and removed by an automatic process, after which the products are quality controlled manually.

The temperatures represent the surface film temperature of the water bodies during the overpass time of the Landsat-8 satellite (approximately 9-10 UTC time).

The production process is two-tiered. The first publication after a satellite overpass is the NRT version, which contains noise and striping along the overpass path. Within 14 days after the overpass, the NRT version will be replaced by quality assured version.
